Method 1: Using CMD
Step 1: Go to the start menu and click “Run” or press “windows key + R”
Step 2: Type CMD in the dialogue box that appears and press the enter key. This takes you to command prompt
Step 3: Now, type the following command in the command prompt window: attrib -h -r -s /s /d X:\*.* (where X is the flash
drive. For example if you connected your flash drive and it read as drive H: then replace X with H. You can see the drive letter in My Computer)
Step 4: Now, the flash drive is virus free. But one last thing left to do; copy all files from the drive to another drive, format the drive, then copy your files back to the drive and you are good to go.
Method 2: Using USBFIX
Step 1: Download and install USBFIX. You can download it from here
Step 2: Close all ruining programs to prevent loss of data because once the program is launched, it might close all running applications. Now launch USBFIX
Step 3: Now, click on the clean option in USBFIX and wait a little while for it to complete the cleaning process.
Step 4: Restart your computer and say goodbye to the shortcut virus!!!
